Medical IP Announces Transformation into an AI Digital Twin Platform Company, Targets KOSDAQ IPO in the First Half of 2027

SEOUL, South Korea – Medical IP, a pioneer in AI-powered medical digital twin technology, has announced its strategic transformation into a global AI healthcare platform company, with plans to pursue a KOSDAQ initial public offering (IPO) in the first half of 2027.

Founded in 2015 as the first official spin-off venture from Seoul National University Hospital, Medical IP has built its foundation on AI-driven Digital Twin technology that transforms CT, MRI, and X-ray images into three-dimensional digital human models. The company's technologies span clinical diagnosis, preventive healthcare, medical education, and surgical planning.

CEO Sang Joon Park recently unveiled the company's long-term growth strategy, emphasizing Medical IP's evolution from a medical imaging software provider into a global AI Digital Twin platform company.

Medical IP's flagship portfolio includes DeepCatch C, an AI-powered CT-based body composition analysis platform; DeepCatch X, an AI solution that extracts quantitative health biomarkers from a single chest X-ray; and MEDIP Box, a digital anatomy education platform based on human digital twin technology.

The company continues to expand partnerships with hospitals, healthcare providers, and educational institutions worldwide. Its technologies have received regulatory clearances from Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), while supporting more than 170 scientific publications and research collaborations.

Moving forward, Medical IP plans to accelerate its transition toward a subscription-based SaaS business model while expanding strategic partnerships with global healthcare institutions and medical education organizations.

Beyond software, the company aims to establish an integrated AI Digital Twin platform capable of generating recurring revenue through healthcare data, predictive analytics, and preventive medicine services.

"Medical imaging should no longer stop at diagnosis," said Sang Joon Park, CEO of Medical IP. "Our vision is to transform medical images into Human Digital Twins that enable prediction, simulation, and personalized healthcare. We are building an AI-powered platform that connects screening, clinical practice, education, and digital healthcare into a single ecosystem."

Medical IP also designated 2026 as the first year of its management normalization and profitability initiative. The company plans to strengthen operational efficiency through enhanced management systems, cost optimization, expanded FDA clearances, accelerated global commercialization, and new AI-driven product development.

In parallel, Medical IP has introduced key management principles centered on transparent governance, financial discipline through a "Pay-Go" philosophy, open communication, and long-term shareholder value creation.

"2026 marks the beginning of executing our long-term growth strategy toward a successful IPO," Park added. "Our goal is to become a global leader in AI-powered Human Digital Twin platforms while creating sustainable value for customers, partners, and shareholders."

Park currently serves as a member of NVIDIA's Healthcare AI initiatives and has held numerous leadership positions in medical imaging, additive manufacturing, and digital healthcare policy, including appointments at Seoul National University College of Medicine and the Korean government.
