MEDICAL IP-Olympus Korea, 3D printing simulator joint development MOU
▶ Started development of 3D printing simulator for practicing for medical education and skill improvement
▶ Expected to strengthen partnership through continuous simulator joint development
<2021-04-02> MEDICALIP signed an MOU with Olympus Korea, a global healthcare company, for joint development of 3D printing simulators for Precision Healthcare.
Through this MOU, MEDICALIP will collaborate with Olympus Korea to develop 3D printing simulators for medical practice to be used in ERCP and Urology fields.
A MEDICALIP official said, “Early this year, we supplied Olympus Korea with simulators for stone removal simulations, such as RIRS and PNL. It was evaluated as the simulators with the highest similarity to the human body compared to other companies, and the differentiated technological competitiveness was recognized, leading to a business agreement.”
The two companies aim to develop a new simulator by combining MEDICALIP's 3D printing technology and Olympus Korea's business competitiveness to contribute to improving medical skills and strengthening medical capabilities.
