[July 25, 2025] MEDICAL IP, a leading provider of AI-powered digital twin solutions announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea-Iraq Friendship Foundation (Chairman: Taesung Kim) to collaborate on improving medical education and public health infrastructure in Iraq.

Under this agreement, the two organizations will work together to: ▲ Support the adoption of AI digital twin solutions to strengthen medical and clinical education in Iraq ▲ Localize AI healthcare technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy and enhance the capabilities of local medical professionals ▲ Build joint public health initiatives and improve hospital infrastructure through digital innovation.

As part of the collaboration, the parties also plan to establish an implementation roadmap for introducing MEDICAL IP’s X-ray-based health screening solution “DeepCatch X” and its digital anatomy education solution “MEDIP Box” in the Iraqi market.

The signing ceremony was held on July 24 at MEDICAL IP headquarters, with key attendees including Sang Joon Park, CEO of MEDICAL IP, Dr. Ameer Abdulnasir Hussin, Chairperson of the Iraq office of the Korea-Iraq Friendship Foundation, and representatives from the Korea Medical Devices Association.

This collaboration was made possible with the support of the Korea Medical Devices Association, aiming to expand the local import and export of high-quality Korean medical devices in the Iraqi market. On July 22, the Association also signed an MOU with AHEAD, a medical education institution under the Imam Hussein Foundation—one of Iraq’s leading non-profit healthcare organizations—focused on advancing the country's medical device industry.

During the subsequent schedule, extensive discussions were held on strategies to advance Iraq’s healthcare services. As the Iraqi delegation visited major Korean medical device companies, MEDICAL IP’s AI-driven technologies were highly regarded for their compatibility with Iraq’s medical environment and cultural context. This recognition led to immediate and tangible outcomes, including the signing of the MOU.

Sang Joon Park, CEO of MEDICAL IP, stated, “This agreement marks more than just the introduction of advanced technologies—it signifies a pivotal starting point for AI-powered digital transformation to improve Iraq’s medical education and overall healthcare system. We will continue to pursue strategic partnerships to expand our technology presence and elevate local healthcare infrastructure across the Iraqi market.”
