MEDICAL IP to participate ECR 2023 Presenting AI · Digital Twin-based Medical Solutions

MEDICAL IP Co., Ltd. participated in the European Congress of Radiology (ECR 2023) held in Vienna, Austria.

 

ECR is the largest radiology society in Europe, hosting more than 30,000 radiologists from around the world where radiologists share the latest trend in medical imaging technology and discuss the future plan and direction of the industry.

 

MEDICAL IP presented its own software lineup including ▲‘DEEPCATCH’, a CT-based automatic body composition analysis software for preventing / predicting diseases and providing opportunistic screening ▲’MEDIP PRO’, a medical image based AI segmentation and 3D digital twin implementation software

 

In particular, DEEPCATCH, which measures and analyzes body composition measures such as skin, muscle, bone, visceral fat, and subcutaneous fat from CT images with a single click and predicts the risk of metabolic diseases, sarcopenia, and osteoporosis, has received much attention from medical professionals in the field of radiology and medical device industry alike.

 

DEEPCATCH was rated as innovative technology that maximizes medical costs and resources by providing body composition analysis reports from a single CT taken during medical checkups or appointments and making referrals for additional tests if and when necessary.

 

Sang Joon Park, CEO of MEDICAL IP, gave a lecture on ‘AI-powered Whole-Body Composition Analysis in CT during AIX Industry Pitch’ and during the Scientific Session, gave another presentation on ‘Deep Learning Technology for Classification and Estimation of Steatosis in Low-dose CT’ in an effort to promote medical value and utility of CT-based body composition analysis technology. 

In addition, during this year’s ECR, MEDICAL IP introduced its own real-time digital twin implementation technology developed in collaboration with NVIDIA for the first time in the European market.

 

The company combines MEDIP PRO with NVIDIA Omniverse for a solution that allows multiple users to simultaneously edit and share 3D modeled medical image data. It also presented solutions that enable expansion into the medical metaverse and surgical simulations in virtual space.
